Privacy policy
Patang is a card game you play in your browser. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. This page explains the little data the game does use.
What stays on your device
The game keeps these in your browser's local storage, on your device only:
- your settings, such as sound, theme and game speed
- your stats, and a game in progress so you can pick it up later
- whether you've finished the guided first game
- when you play online, the room code and a random key that lets you rejoin your seat
We never see this data. Settings → Reset stats erases your stats, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.
What reaches our server when you play online
Games against computers and pass-and-play run entirely in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere. When you create or join an online room, your browser sends our game server:
- the player name you type (up to 14 characters; it doesn't have to be your real name)
- the room code
- your moves, and the reactions you pick from a fixed set (there is no free-text chat)
The server shares your name, moves and reactions with the other players in your room. Rooms live in the server's memory only: nothing is written to disk, and a room is gone once it closes or the server restarts.
Technical logs
Like any website, our hosting provider may record standard request details, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, to keep the service running and secure. We don't use them to identify or profile you.
Cookies and third parties
Patang sets no cookies and loads nothing from other websites: its code and fonts come from this site. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't show ads.
Children
Patang is for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Online player names are kept only while a room is open.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
